The week of June 2
The week of June 2, 2025 is proving to be interesting. I'm working on recording tracks for two album projects. One is an acoustic duo album with Sandor Szabo. In fact, it's looking as if it will evolve into two albums. The other is a highly unusual album project with Mark Wingfield. I'll detail both in future blog posts.
This morning, I recorded a new piece for each of those two album projects. Afterward, I composed a piece for one of the next solo album projects. There are currently two of those in the works, not including a new solo piano album which is nearly finished.
Thursday of this week, I have a recording session with trumpet/flugelhorn artist Phil Grenadier. This will be for our third album together. Phil is the very definition of an amazing player. Additionally, he's a brave explorer and is never afraid to go where new directions might take us. We have a solid and unique artistic connection, and I'm looking forward to our sessions.
All this while working out some new tunings for the 24-string, the 26-string, and one of the two 30-strings.
More to come.
