Solo Works, part 1

 

Since 2015, I've recorded and released a few solo albums.  All were on my various guitar-family instruments, except for one solo piano album which was recorded in 2018 and released in 2019.  

In 2020, I began recording material for the next two solo albums.  One will be on my guitar-family instruments; one will be a second solo piano album.  

In January 2020, I began the recording sessions for the next solo piano project.  Several new compositions were recorded, but then I was interrupted by various new recording projects with my collaborators.  These projects have resulted in multiple new albums, and many more are underway, but today I finally blocked out some time to go back and listen to some of the rough mixes of the solo piano recordings from 2020.

My plan at that time was to complete the next guitar-based solo album, and then finish the solo piano album project.  Now I am considering releasing the solo piano album first.  It's not entirely finished, as more recording sessions need to be scheduled to record a few additional pieces.  

For currently unknown reasons, this is starting to feel like the right direction for the next two solo projects.
