Mission Statement

Many corporations have something on their websites called a mission statement.  In it, they state their purposes and intents.  I've long thought about adding something like that to the blog and to my website.

My mission statement is to bring God's music into the world.  I am a Christian, and I believe that any artistic abilities I possess originated with God, and it all comes from him.  I take no credit for the music that seems to come from me; it all comes from God, and all credit is due to him.

J. S. Bach used to sign the phrase Soli Deo Gloria on his manuscript scores; sometimes he abbreviated it to S.D.G.  It's a Latin phrase that translates into To the Glory of God Alone. 

Perhaps Bach had a mission statement similar to mine.
